That is, the 40% among you who haven’t yet switched to Ultra.
As Michelle Whitman noted at kick-off, don’t wait until Winter break to get going. It would be really great to avoid a stampede at the end of Fall or the beginning of Spring, as that would create an impossible situation for the Learning Technologies team.
So, start now. You already have Ultra shells in your development area in Blackboard. You can ask for more if you need. Just email the LT office to request additional shells. On October 1st, 2025, we will all get our Spring 2026 shells, and they will all be Ultra.
As always, there are tons of training options.
First off. Gabi Frahm and I will be facilitating the Foundations of Online Teaching courses, starting next week. You can find Part 1 and Part 2 in Cornerstone.
Also, the LT team has put together a shiny new Knowledge Base, with a bazillion articles on every topic under the sun. You can find it here.
You can also find all my blog posts from last year, organized by topics, here.
The LT will offer training throughout the semester on Zoom, face-to-face, or asynchronous. You can find the full schedule here.
And because it was so much fun last Summer, we’ll have open labs again, on Wednesdays, 1pm to 4pm, and Fridays, 9am to 1pm, in SRC 3013, starting on August 27th. I’ll be there because someone needs to bring the snark.
And as always, you can reach out to the LT team if you need anything else.
But please don’t wait.
