Cranky thought of the day that does not involve the LT department: if you book time with our LT colleagues, and especially if you requested a custom session for a specific group, and then, you don’t show up, it’s rude. Please don’t do that. These guys have a lot of work to do and not showing up when they created a specific training for you is disrespectful.
Back to Blackboard stuff
As you know, we now have a more storage in Blackboard, but not infinite storage. In the past, whoever was in charge of Blackboard regularly removed old courses. With the transition to Ultra, that has not happened in a while, but the LT office is resuming the practice.
So, during Winter break, Fall 2021 to Fall 2023 courses will be removed. They will be initially moved to the “To be deleted” section of Blackboard, which you can find on your course page:
The LT office will be sending out communications about this, but I just wanted to give you a heads up. So, if you have stuff in these courses that you would like to preserve, I recommend copying or downloading them sooner, rather than later.
I should add that this will also involve unused zdev shells.
From that point on, the college will retain 7 semesters worth of courses (including Summers).
