As you know, this post is part of a series highlighting the Qwickly Attendance Pro features that are now available to us. I already discussed the basic set up in a past post. And in my latest post, I featured the use of a QR code to take attendance.

In this post, I’d like to draw your attention to the check out feature available in the Pro version: checking out. Up until now, all I’ve discussed is the various check in features, that record attendance at the beginning of a session. But what if you wanted to also get a record at the end of your sessions.

To set it up, you would go into your Qwickly Attendance settings, under Preferences:

Then, scroll down a bit until you see your check in options:

Just check the box under Check Out. Note that you cannot have the check out option only. If you want to use the check out option, you must have created its check in counterpart. There is no check out only option. With this feature, students have to be present to both check in and check out in order to be marked as present. So, if a student checks in and then leaves, and misses the check out, they will not be counted as present.

So, if you decide to use check out, you will need to remember to go back to the check in area, in the same way as you did the check in, but you must change the session type to check out, and have to students check out in the same manner as they checked in.

See the Qwickly Attendance documentation on this feature if you have any interest in using it.
