As this is my last week at Faculty Chair of Online Quality and Learning Technologies, I thought I’d pull out my top ten most popular blog posts, by views, out of the 122 (!!) I have written over the years.
10. Why you should use Yuja for your videos. In this post, I list 6 reasons why you should use Yuja over other commercial platforms (*cough* YT *cough*).
9. Dear discipline and program chairs… in which I urge the chairs to get the faculty in their respective disciplines and programs to get on Ultra before the official date. That did not work.
8. BIG changes coming to the gradebook on August 6. My most recent post! Glad you guys are paying attention.
7. Do one thing in Ultra: Taking attendance with Qwickly. I still stand by my opinion that Qwickly Attendance is much better than the native Bb attendance tool. And now that we have access to the Pro version, we have access to all the bells and whistles.
6. Accessibility beyond Ally. While Ally is still our main tool for accessibility, this post was my reminder to check every other app you use for accessibility checks and features, and do whatever remediation is needed before even uploading files to Blackboard.
5. Let’s talk about Padlet. I still love Padlet and never miss an opportunity to recommend it.
4. Mind Mapping: the answer to everything! (part 2). Yup, I stand by that too. I know I’m a broken record on this. But I’m right! Believe it or not, this was posted in 2020.

- Why I won’t be talking or blogging about AI this year. Nothing has happened since that changed my mind. If nothing else, the developments since have reinforced my opinion on this. This is by far the post that generated the most feedback from you.
And then, of course, there were memes. So many memes. I was going to ask you guys to vote for your favorites but there are so many of them that putting them together would take forever. I will accept a colleague’s comment that I had the best meme game on campus. This shall forever be my claim to fame. That and all the “clicky things”.
