While the end of summer is always a bit of a downer (no more long, hot days by the pool), back-to-school season can actually be pretty exciting with the anticipation of another potentially amazing school year in the air. Whether you’re feeling that excitement or are sad to let summer go, there’s going on here on campus in the days leading up to the start of the semester to help you get back into the groove.
The biggest of those in Fall In-Service. Held on August 15, 16 and 17th, In-Service offers a chance to catch up with colleagues, do a bit of professional development and prepare for your fall courses. Learning Technologies will be at In-Service from 8:30 until 12:30 on August 15 at the In-Service Fair. We will be on hand to answer your questions or help you plan for a visit to our department, and we’ll also have some handy fliers and swag with us.
You can find the full In-Service schedule here.
Also on August 15th, Learning Technologies will be participating in a Faculty Resource Open House. This will be held in conjunction with the Office of Adjunct Faculty Support and the Teaching and Learning Center. Instructors can travel between the three offices for food, prizes, activities and support from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
We hope to see everyone there and look forward to helping you work towards a productive and rewarding semester.
